In the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, you will find the historic city of Ferrara. Although the main highlights of a stay in this city are the historic buildings, there are plenty of other things to see and do during your vacation. Here are some of the top activities and attractions to enjoy.
Ferrara is home to 14 museums, each of which has its own specialty. Therefore, this is an amazing city to visit if you are interested in learning about the history of Ferrara and the Emilia-Romagna region. Some of the top museums to visit include Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Palazzo dei Diamanti (pictured), Museo della Cattedrale and Museo del Risorgiment e della Resistenza.
Ferrara is a city that is rich in history and is particularly well-known for its Renaissance buildings. Some of the most interesting structures to visit in Ferrara include Piazza Cattedrale, Centro Storico Ferrara, Castello Estense, and Corso Ercole I d’Este.
If you enjoy spending time outdoors, you will find many stunning areas in and around the city to explore. Parco Massari is a wonderful place to enjoy a stroll while Orto Botanico di Ferrara is an enchanting botanical garden that is full of pretty colors and amazing aromas. Other ways you can enjoy the outdoors in this area include cycling, swimming, diving, and boat trips.
Night Time and Musical Entertainment
After a busy day exploring the sights in the area, you might want to carry on having fun into the evening. If this is the case, there are several options available. To enjoy musical entertainment in the evening, you can go to Sinatra-Club Concert Hall or Jazz Club Ferrara. Both these venues are places you can enjoy the entertainment and a drink. Alternatively, you may prefer to absorb classical Italian culture by spending the night at Teatro Comunale di Ferrara.
